At the time of writing this, I've just finished playing about with the ARTPOP app for the second time since it's release. The application that has was teased with the ARTPOP album was described as this piece of software that would change the musical industry and put Lady Gaga on the top of another industry, technology. "Lady Gaga brings you a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion, and technology with a new interactive worldwide community - 'the auras'. Altering the human experience, we bring ARTculture into POP in a reverse Warholian expedition," explains its app store listing. The description promised us talks of fashion, art and a new interactive worldwide community. The fashion aspect was completely absent from the application and the art was composed of a floating pig. The worldwide community is a link from littlemonsters.com which we feel was a success for Lady Gaga in the social networking department, as it brought us all together in one place to talk about the same things, usually. There is aspects of the application that have still to be released and we hope that Lady Gaga delivers to turn this application into something that is worth keeping on my phone. We feel ARTPOP deserves a more, technological impact than a music player and a childs photoshop section. We hope Lady Gaga gives us the application we all imagined it to be.
